Truly, I am blown away by your generous contributions to my physical education class. Through your support, we were able to purchase two new sets of dumbbells, medicine balls, and resistance bands, which have already made a profound difference in our daily routines. Before you funded our project, our limited dumbbell selection meant that students did not have the appropriate weight for their individual needs. Some of our bigger students were using 5-pound weights, which weren't challenging them enough. But now, every student can choose the specific weight that suits their size and strength, ensuring they can get the most out of our workouts. \r\n\r\nYour gift also allowed us to replace our old resistance bands, which had begun to rip. I was actually tying the old bands to the handle to make them usable. The cheap handles had also begun to crack. We now have high-quality, reliable bands with strong handles that allow the students to focus on their form without any safety concerns. \r\n\r\nThe new medicine balls have also added some fun to our fitness competitions. My students had never used them (many had never even heard of them). The storage rack is tall yet super sturdy, allowing me to safely store the set while maximizing my classroom space. \r\n\r\nAgain, I really appreciate this. Your kindness has not only provided my students with essential tools, but has also shown them that their education and health are valued by others -- by strangers! Thank you for your investment in their futures.","fullyFundedDate":1766713861257,"projectUrl":"project/power-up-our-pe-program-weight-training/9863633/","projectTitle":"Power up our PE program: Weight training for Stockton Students","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Wilcox","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10335263"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_39868","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":583,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":85,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"21.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":76.0,"schoolId":39868,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Fillmore Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Fillmore Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/stockton-unified-school-district/fillmore-elementary-school/39868"}
