Your generosity has already made a meaningful difference in my classroom. My students are so excited to have books and materials that connect directly to their interests, especially manga and engaging stories. The Scary Stories book set have helped make reading feel more exciting and accessible for students who do not always see themselves as readers. Students who usually need more encouragement during independent reading are now more willing to pick up a book, talk about characters, and stay engaged for longer periods of time.\r\n\r\nThe technology has also opened up new ways for my students to learn. Many students use technology at home for games or videos, but in our classroom they are learning how technology can be used to create, design, revise, and solve problems. The 3D printer helps students see how an idea can move from a sketch or plan into something real that they can hold and improve. It supports math, science, reading, and writing because students have to measure, explain their thinking, and connect their designs to what they are learning. The classroom printer also helps me provide students with reading logs, graphic organizers, design templates, and practice pages right when they need them.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting is seeing students feel proud of themselves. Some of my quieter students have warmed up to the materials because they can show their learning in creative ways. My reluctant readers are building confidence through high-interest books, and my students who love drawing, building, and imagining are finding new ways to participate. These materials have helped make our classroom feel like a place where students can read, create, and grow. Thank you for helping my students experience learning in a way that feels joyful, hands-on, and meaningful.","fullyFundedDate":1778009648881,"projectUrl":"project/pages-to-prototypes-manga-making-mas/10123469/","projectTitle":"Pages to Prototypes: Manga, Making & Mastery","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Tomita","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9439861_orig.jpg?crop=560,560,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705601956733","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9439861"},{"teacherId":8563058,"projectId":10283238,"letterContent":"Thank you for making it possible for my students to bring their ideas to life through 3D printing. The filament you provided for our Bambu Lab P1S printer has transformed STEM learning from something students only imagine into something they can design, create, and hold in their hands.\r\n\r\nMany of my fourth-grade students learn best through hands-on experiences. This is especially true for students with ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences who often thrive when they can actively build, test, and improve their ideas. With access to a variety of filament colors and materials, students have been able to design prototypes, create engineering solutions, and see their digital creations become real objects. The excitement on their faces when they watch a project print for the first time is something I wish every donor could experience.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects for students has been the ability to personalize their learning. Students have designed keychains, classroom tools, engineering challenges, and creative projects that reflect their own interests. The colorful filament has helped make each project unique while encouraging creativity, problem-solving, perseverance, and collaboration. Students who sometimes struggle to stay engaged during traditional lessons have become deeply focused when working through the design process and troubleshooting their creations.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students are developing real-world STEM skills such as design thinking, engineering, measurement, and iterative problem-solving. More importantly, they are gaining confidence in themselves as creators and innovators. Thank you for helping build an inclusive makerspace where all students can experience success and discover the joy of creating something entirely their own.\r\n\r\nI would also like to thank our anonymous supporter for believing in my students and investing in their future. Your support has allowed me to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences that make STEM accessible to a wide range of learners. The materials you funded have helped students turn curiosity into creativity and ideas into reality. The excitement these books created in our classroom was immediate. Students who would normally say they \"don't like reading\" were eagerly waiting for their turn to borrow books like Frieren, Delicious in Dungeon, and Jujutsu Kaisen. Many of my students began talking to each other about characters, recommending books to friends, and even asking if they could stay in during free moments just to keep reading.\r\n\r\nAs a fourth-grade teacher, one of the most meaningful things to witness is when students begin to see reading as something enjoyable instead of something they are forced to do. These books helped create that shift. The illustrations support my visual learners, English language learners, and students who sometimes struggle to stay engaged with traditional text-heavy books. Students were practicing comprehension skills, making predictions, discussing character development, and building vocabulary while feeling genuinely excited about reading.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was seeing students who are usually hesitant readers proudly carry these books around the classroom and eagerly share parts of the story with their classmates. Some students who rarely visited the classroom library are now constantly asking when new volumes will be available. The books became a bridge that connected students to reading in a way that felt accessible, engaging, and fun.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my classroom has become a space where students are excited to read, recommend books to one another, and build confidence as learners. You did not just donate books — you helped create joy, curiosity, and community within our classroom. My students and I are deeply grateful for your kindness and support.","fullyFundedDate":1773851744244,"projectUrl":"project/graphic-novels-that-turn-my-students-int/10143617/","projectTitle":"Graphic Novels That Turn My Students Into Lifelong Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dela Cruz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8563058_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759984175243","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/maryjane-delacruz"},{"teacherId":8138962,"projectId":9753661,"letterContent":"We've been using the new game-based resources during small-group instruction and learning centers to reinforce key skills in a fun, low-pressure way. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students collaborate during a game, cheering each other on and explaining their thinking out loud. Students who are usually hesitant to participate became fully engaged, confidently trying again after mistakes because the games made learning feel exciting instead of stressful.\r\nTheir reaction was pure joy and excitement! As soon as they saw the games, they were eager to jump in and couldn't wait to try them out. I heard lots of \"This is fun!\" and \"Can we play again?\" right away. For many of my students, this was the first time they had ever owned a brand-new book that was chosen specifically for them. The excitement in the classroom was unforgettable. Students immediately began reading, sharing favorite parts with friends, and talking about books in ways I had not seen before.\r\n\r\nThe impact extended far beyond the holiday season. Having books at home gave students more opportunities to read outside of school, build fluency, strengthen comprehension skills, and develop a love of reading. Many students proudly told me they read their books with siblings, parents, and other family members. What began as a gift became a way to encourage literacy beyond the classroom walls.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful moments was seeing students who previously struggled to engage with reading become excited about books that matched their interests. Some students carried their books with them everywhere, while others returned after winter break eager to tell me they had already finished reading them. Your generosity helped create joyful reading experiences and reminded my students that they are valued, supported, and worthy of receiving something special.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make the holidays memorable and for investing in the growth, confidence, and literacy of my students. That anticipation alone has shifted how they see themselves as readers with real choices, real voice, and real community. At the same time, our new comprehension worksheets have given us a smooth daily routine: short passages, quick checks for understanding, and immediate feedback. Students are already celebrating \"quick wins,\" and I'm using that data to tailor small groups the very same day.\r\n\r\nYour support is giving my ISE students calm, focused time.
