My students are curious, creative, and eager to learn through hands-on experiences. Next year, I will have the privilege of teaching both 2nd and 3rd grade STEM, expanding the number of students who will benefit from engaging science, technology, engineering, and mathematics learning opportunities. Many of my students come from economically disadvantaged households, yet they arrive at school each day ready to learn, explore, and grow. They thrive when given opportunities to ask questions, solve problems, and discover how the world works through meaningful experiences. In our STEM classroom, students build, test, observe, create, and collaborate as they develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. My goal is to help every student see themselves as a scientist, engineer, innovator, and leader capable of making a positive impact on the world around them.
