Thanks to your donations, our students now have an amazing collection of STEM materials, including blocks, a STEM flower kit, magnets, and ABC matching ice cream cones. These items have been arriving, and every day my students are excited to explore, build, and learn with them. It has been such a joy to see their curiosity and creativity spark as they dive into hands-on activities.\r\n\r\nYour kindness is making a real difference in my students' learning experiences. They are practicing problem-solving, experimenting with science, and building important early literacy skills, all while having so much fun. It's wonderful to watch them work together, ask questions, and celebrate each other's discoveries.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our classroom and helping to inspire the next generation of thinkers, builders, and creators. After the initial excitement of opening the boxes subsided, the students quickly devised an equitable plan for sharing the seating and manage it daily on their own. this has taught them problem solving skills and the importance of sharing and working together. \r\n\r\nThey have enjoyed the ease at which they can now form quick small groups to discuss topics and collaborate on projects, assignments, and brainstorming sessions. Sometimes during our ELA workshop, when their stamina has dwindled, I have the students get up and create \"think tank\" sessions. Having these new stools makes forming groups so much easier. There is also additional room to move about the classroom as the stools tuck nicely under the desks. With 29 large bodied students, we need all the extra room we can get!\r\n\r\nWe look forward to weather warming up where we can quickly transtiton to an outdoor setting and be able to sit on the stools instead of the concrete!","fullyFundedDate":1733244500835,"projectUrl":"project/flex-seating-for-mrs-millers-5th-grade/8630519/","projectTitle":"Flex Seating for Mrs. Miller's 5th Grade Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6871519_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x332,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723479691055","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6871519"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4267","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":568,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":3,"percentAsian":33,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":45,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"23.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":92.7,"schoolId":4267,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sycamore Valley Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sycamore Valley Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/san-ramon-valley-unified-school-district/sycamore-valley-elementary-school/4267"}
