Classrooms have had the traditional desks and chairs for as long as I can remember. It can be a very sterile uncomfortable environment for some kids to learn in. Many kids love lounging about on their couch or curled up in a bean bag when they do their work at home, but they do not have that opportunity at most schools. Their options are usually limited to the desk/chair option. Learning should be fun and comfortable so I want to incorporate flexible seating into my classroom. If my students are comfortable they tend to learn better and be more engaged with the material. All students have a vast range of learning styles and confining them to just a desk and chair stifles some of them. I wish to buy a wide range of flexible seating to meet the needs of all my students. Some kids are active and need a bouncy chair to move while some kids need to the safety and comfort of a plush chair or bag. Flexible seating allows for all learning types to have a seat that fits their needs. The flexible seating also allows students to move throughout the room to find a spot where they can focus and be productive.
