I am requesting wobble chairs and yoga balls to allow for flexible seating within my classroom. This would give my students the opportunity to choose the type of seating that works best for their learning style. Flexible seating also gives students the ability to move around the classroom to help them when they are collaborating with their peers during assignments and make them college and career ready. Flexible seating would give my students more control over their education and would help them take ownership of their learning. It is also statistically shown to give the students health benefits since the bouncing, wobbling, and moving allows more oxygen to reach their brain and therefore helps them focus and concentrate when learning.
