During independent practice students reach for the dry erase markers to show all their work on whiteboards, which helps me quickly assess understanding and gives them the confidence to try, erase, and try again. In direct instruction we glue notes into our interactive notebooks, and pencils and erasers are available for those who need essential writing tools. The headphones have been a game changer for standardized test practice, helping students focus, and I've used the lamination pouches to create sturdier lesson materials and classroom posters that will last for years.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials they were genuinely excited and grateful — you could feel their enthusiasm the moment they unwrapped the markers and notebooks. They especially love using the dry erase markers every day; it's become a small classroom ritual that makes practice feel fun and hands-on. As for next steps, we'll continue to use these classroom basics daily to support current lessons and projects and to ensure every student has what they need to participate fully. Your support not only supplies materials but also shows our students that their learning matters to people beyond our classroom, and for that we are deeply thankful.","fullyFundedDate":1758134930332,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-basics-for-the-new-year/9393831/","projectTitle":"Classroom Basics for the New Year!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bloom","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3822418_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1502389956372","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3822418"},{"teacherId":3775800,"projectId":9564621,"letterContent":"You generous donation of 24 new headphones have made such a difference in my classroom! These headphones have given my students the ability to use technology throughout the school day, without having to share headphones or go without. Daily, students are now able to go to our headphone organizer, choose a pair of headphones that matches their Donor's Choose Chromebook, and focus on the task at hand.\r\n\r\nDonor's Choose has been so supportive of my classroom in the past enabling me to have a full class set of Chromebooks and a sturdy cart to organize them in. Now, with 24 new sets of headphones, our classroom technology is complete. Daily students can access literature hyperdocs, Newsela, Social Studies webquests, and Google Classroom and be able to stay focused and on task with their headphones.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generous donations and for making my classroom a place of learning and success!","fullyFundedDate":1755888324136,"projectUrl":"project/ear-esistible-classroom-learning/9564621/","projectTitle":"Ear-esistible Classroom Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Walsh","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3775800_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1503509805750","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3775800"},{"teacherId":1132863,"projectId":9182440,"letterContent":"We are so excited to share how your donation of \"Detectives in Togas\" has made a big difference in our 6th-grade classroom! This fun mystery book has really gotten our students interested in reading and learning about ancient Rome.\r\nWith this book, we've been able to teach some important skills:\r\n\r\n1. Critical thinking: Students are trying to solve the mystery along with the characters.\r\n2. Historical knowledge: They're learning about life in ancient Rome.\r\n3. Vocabulary building: The book introduces new words in a fun way.\r\n4. Reading comprehension: Students have to follow the plot and remember clues.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, we now have a special \"Detective Time\" each day. Students get comfy and read parts of the book together. We stop to talk about what's happening and make guesses about the mystery. It's great to see how excited they are to read!\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness. The cart on wheels is exactly what this school's health room needed because it was never an easy process to remove the student medications for emergency drills (or for a real emergency)! \r\n\r\nThis cart on wheels can be rolled out of the office with all the student medications in it. The drawer on top houses the all important first aid kit and medication binder. Now at there is no taking all the bags of medications out of the affixed cabinet in the health room and putting them into a crate that has to be carried out! The office manager can simply wheel this cart out onto the blacktop with everything needed in case of a real emergency in which the students would have to be evacuated.\r\n\r\nThere are 2 sets of keys with the cart and one is kept hidden in the back of the top drawer while the set used on a regular basis is kept in the office manager's desk.
