It would have made your donation even more special. The children were beyond excited to have a new playhouse for recess time. We had to begin with a limited visit so that all children could check it out as they all wanted to get into it at the same time. They were especially excited for the barbecue and the water wheel. The children have already requested food for the barbecue as today they were barbecuing small playground equipment. To my surprise it came with buckets, planters and shovels making it more fun than anticipated. Once the weather warms up I am sure the water wheel will be running nonstop! I can tell that we are going to have hours of fun with it for sure. \r\nThank you for helping our children engage in real life learning through play in such a fun way. As soon as the materials arrived, my students were buzzing with excitement—asking questions, exploring the resources, and eager to put them to use. One of our first projects involved collaborative math and problem-solving stations, where students worked together to apply concepts like area, perimeter, and multi-step operations using hands-on materials. I immediately noticed higher engagement, more productive discussions, and students who are usually hesitant becoming confident contributors.\r\n\r\nThe new resources have allowed lessons to feel more interactive and meaningful. Instead of passively completing worksheets, students are now actively building, testing ideas, and explaining their thinking to peers. One memorable moment was watching a group revise their strategy after realizing a mistake—using the materials to model the problem and correct it together. These tools have supported different learning styles and helped students deepen their understanding while strengthening collaboration and communication skills.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, students will continue using these resources during literacy and science projects, including close reading activities and inquiry-based investigations that encourage curiosity and critical thinking. Because of your support, our classroom is a place where students feel excited to learn, take risks, and explore ideas together. Thank you for giving our students an experience that goes beyond textbooks and helps learning truly come alive.","fullyFundedDate":1757739478012,"projectUrl":"project/from-desks-to-discovery-creating-classr/9692722/","projectTitle":"From Desks to Discovery: Creating Classrooms That Come Alive","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vowels","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5736086_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1538412922890","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kvowels"},{"teacherId":502232,"projectId":9839381,"letterContent":"Thank you for contributing to my project. Students are so excited to utilize the outdoor classroom in all kinds of weather! When it rains they have a place to go outside that is sheltered!
