Bringing these Social Emotional Learning (SEL) resources into our classroom has been a game-changer for my students' mental well-being and daily success.\r\n\r\nWe are using the items every single day to help navigate our feelings. A specific moment that stands out happened just last week: one of my students became overwhelmed during a challenging transition. In the past, this might have resulted in a shutdown, but this time, they independently walked over to our new me and expressed their frustration. They returned to the group calm and ready to learn. It was a powerful example of the self-regulation skills your donation is helping to build.\r\n\r\nThe students' reaction The joy in the room was palpable when the boxes first arrived! My students were ecstatic to see brand new materials dedicated just to them and their feelings. When we unboxed them, there were gasps of excitement. They immediately wanted to touch and explore everything. Knowing that people they've never met care about their happiness and mental health made them feel incredibly special and validated.\r\n\r\nWhat comes next Now that the students are familiar with the new tools, our next step is to deepen our understanding of empathy. We are currently starting a lesson on conflict resolution.
