This year is my first year having my own classroom; I've had to cart my stuff back and forth in prior years. So, this is very exciting for me to have my own space and it's been a dream to create a little library for my students! \r\n\r\nCurrently, I am in the process of finding and labelling each book's lexile score and approximate reading grade level. My hope is to label the shelves, as seen in the pictures, with the scores so that students can find books that are appropriately understandable and challenging for them.\r\n\r\nMy students are high school aged, but in their early years of learning English. I hope having a variety of books for their levels and different styles, such as graphic novels, will spark an interest in reading more, thus encouraging their English learning and ownership of their education. I am so excited to see the growth of my students this year and I am so so grateful for your support.
