With your help, we were able to add some necessary items to our percussion section in our band program! We were in desperate need of two new instruments that add so much to our concert literature year after year. \r\n\r\nThe first item, the wind chimes, have been such a great improvement in the sound of our songs. Especially when the song is soft and sweet. These chimes add the perfect sound quality to our rehearsals and I can't wait to use them in our concert next week!\r\n\r\nNext, a new slapstick was just what we needed going into winter concert season. The slapstick we had had seen better days and was coming apart. After using it for Sleigh Ride and other various holiday literature, it was time for an upgrade. The one we received thanks to your donations has replaced the old one with the perfect sound to our rehearsals!\r\n\r\nWe will continue to use these instruments as the years go on, and thanks to you, our band program continues to thrive! When it first arrived, my students' eyes lit up with excitement! It quickly became a centerpiece for learning and collaboration in the classroom. We are using the easel daily for word building during our spelling dictation time. Our kindergarteners so appreciate having the pocket chart at their level. We've also used the easel to manipulate sounds in words using magnetic letters. The lines on the easel also make it easier to practice writing, especially since the easel is at the perfect height!\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're excited to continue using the easel for our literacy learning. Next up, we'll be working on writing sentences and making a story map. Thank you for helping make this wonderful tool a part of our classroom journey.
