These snacks encouraged students to stay on campus, rather than leaving to get something to eat. Often students brain breaks include searching for food on campus. Being able to meet this basic need creates a positive association with school. Students know that they will be taken care of academically and emotionally. There is a to of red tape that prevents schools from being able to buy food, especially in high school.
