We have been experimenting with a variety of books. My students really enjoy making an easy zig zag book in less than 20 minutes at lunch. \r\nWe began using the stationary immediately to write or type letters to our penpals in East Los Angeles.They come to the library without fail each Wednesday because they have such fun and cute stationary sets to use for a unique hand written letter to their penpals. It took them away from the screen and building with their hands. The word wall has been especially useful because there are so many new vocabulary. The word walls I found are comprehensive with color, images, examples, and definition that have been useful for the students to refer to throughout class. We love it!\r\nAnother fun purchase was the awards certificate. Students voted for their classmates and I presented the awards at the end of the year printed on cardstock and in color!
