After grabbing their books to read, they run right to their big beans. They are lovely because they are washable and versatile. When students are comfortable they just concntrate better. \r\n\r\nThe expo markers and erasers are also being used by students. The colors are the bet part as we can highlight certian parts of grammar in SPanish or literary elements of a story like problem, solution, characters They can write on their tables and then they walk around to read what their classmates have written. Sometimes they respond too making it more interactive. \r\n\r\nThe kids were thrilled and excited to be able to use the bean bags and colorful markers. They were also excited for the laminator and sheets bc we can write on a worksheet and then just erase it. Our kids at MMHS are grateful and that's why I like to ask for special things that contribute to making an enjoyable classroom. \r\n\r\nTheir Spanish is growing and they are maintaining converstions with each other and with me. Reading in the bean bag chairs and having flexibe seating makes them happy to jump into their books which in turn promotes their fluency. Thank you to our donors, for keeping our classroom interactive, lively with meaningful tools.","fullyFundedDate":1765205103024,"projectUrl":"project/read-play-learn/9750501/","projectTitle":"Read Play Learn","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Addleman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10275488"},{"teacherId":10272458,"projectId":9741663,"letterContent":"Students really enjoyed these books! They were so pleased to have interesting reading at their level, and almost begged for more time to read every day. We learned vocabulary, wrote poetry and letters, and created and performed verbal skits based on these texts.\r\n\r\nLearning about the United States through these leveled texts has helped students understand a bit about the history and important people in our country. They spend more time looking at the large map in the classroom, and ask a lot of questions about the people and locations they read about. Most importantly, however, is that they have learned they belong here, too.\r\n\r\nI'm very grateful for the opportunity to support students as they develop their English proficiency while learning about the United States.","fullyFundedDate":1758819968659,"projectUrl":"project/new-americans-read/9741663/","projectTitle":"New Americans Read!","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Jewell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10272458_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758413301915","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10272458"},{"teacherId":9817396,"projectId":9591347,"letterContent":"With these classroom supplies, I have been able to create more engaging opportunities for my students. They get used daily when the students read or when they want some alternative seating while working in groups.\r\n\r\nIt gets a little boring always sitting in the same seats and when we have novelty, it wakes us up a bit! I have a morning group particularly who comes into enjoy them before school.\r\n\r\nI love the outside part because they are washable and the colors are a magenta which adds color to our Spanish classroom.
