These resources help them stay engaged in their work and allow me to adapt lessons so every student can participate in a way that makes sense for them. We have been using the new materials during small group instruction and independent practice. One special moment was watching students work through a challenging task using the new tools and seeing them stick with it instead of giving up. They were talking through their thinking, helping each other, and feeling proud when they figured it out.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited. There were lots of smiles and questions. They could tell right away that these tools were meant for them. It made them feel important and supported.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we are continuing to use these resources in our current lessons to build confidence and independence. My goal is to help students take even more ownership of their learning. Because of you, they have what they need to stay engaged, grow their skills, and believe in themselves as learners.","fullyFundedDate":1771704408984,"projectUrl":"project/self-regulation-and-leadership/10084356/","projectTitle":"Self-regulation and Leadership","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dhaliwal","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10250678"},{"teacherId":10250678,"projectId":10079576,"letterContent":"Our students use technology every day at home, but seeing how it supports their learning at school has been a whole different experience. In our classroom, technology is not just a fun extra. It helps students explore concepts in deeper and more meaningful ways. Whether they are running simulations in science, building models, practicing math skills with immediate feedback, or collaborating on shared projects, the technology gives them hands on opportunities to think critically and solve problems. I have seen students take more ownership of their learning because they can test ideas, make changes, and try again without fear of making mistakes.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part of this new product for my students has been how interactive it is. They love being able to create, design, and experiment instead of just reading about a topic. The engagement level has gone up noticeably. Students who might normally be quiet are raising their hands to share what they discovered. There is a sense of curiosity in the room that is hard to describe until you see it. They are proud of what they create and eager to show their classmates.\r\n\r\nThere have been a few students in particular who have really warmed up to this technology. One student who often struggles with confidence has found that the visual and interactive features help concepts click in a way that worksheets never did. Another student who finishes work quickly has been able to go deeper and challenge himself with extension activities. It has been rewarding to see different learners find their strengths and feel successful. This technology has truly opened doors for students in ways that go beyond the screen.","fullyFundedDate":1770261249315,"projectUrl":"project/pre-vocational-supplies/10079576/","projectTitle":"Pre Vocational Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dhaliwal","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10250678"},{"teacherId":10250678,"projectId":9872835,"letterContent":"The sensory supports and educational materials from this project have made a meaningful difference in how my students engage with learning each day. Many donors may think of technology as devices or screens, but in our classroom, these tools support the whole learner. Items like bean bags, weighted vests, and weighted blankets help students regulate their bodies so they can focus their minds. When students feel physically calm and supported, they are better able to listen, participate, and make sense of new concepts. The hands-on educational materials also help bridge the gap between abstract ideas and real understanding by allowing students to physically interact with what they are learning.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most about these new resources is that they feel comfortable, safe, and supported while learning. The bean bags create flexible seating options that students love and actively choose, giving them a sense of ownership over their learning space. The weighted items are especially exciting because students immediately notice how they help them feel grounded and calm. Rather than being distracted by discomfort or restlessness, students are able to stay engaged for longer periods of time and approach learning with more confidence.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from these supports, particularly those who struggle with sensory processing, attention, or anxiety. One student who previously had difficulty staying seated is now able to focus during lessons when using a weighted vest. Another student who often became overwhelmed has learned to independently choose a weighted blanket or bean bag to self-regulate. These tools have empowered students to better understand their own needs and connect physical regulation with academic success, creating a more inclusive and effective learning environment for everyone.","fullyFundedDate":1762661533009,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-all-the-senses/9872835/","projectTitle":"Engaging All the Senses!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dhaliwal","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10250678"},{"teacherId":9467932,"projectId":8214175,"letterContent":"We are excited to share with you the positive impact your contributions have had on our school garden project for students with special needs. Your generosity has sparked a chain reaction of positivity and inclusivity that is truly inspiring!\r\n\r\nThe school garden has become a learning space for students with special needs where they can develop new skills. What is even more remarkable is that their general education peers are showing interest and enthusiasm in joining the gardening community and want to start a school gardening club! They have completed club applications independently, presented the idea at ASB meetings, and even created a constitution. It's incredible to witness how gardening can bring students from diverse backgrounds together, united by their passion for nurturing and growing something beautiful.\r\n\r\nWe could not have achieved any of this without your incredible support.
