The whiteboards, pencils, and other classroom supplies will be used every day during reading, writing, and math lessons, allowing students to actively participate and practice new skills. The flexible seating cushions will help create a comfortable learning environment where students can stay focused and engaged.\r\n\r\nI can already imagine my students gathering around the new books, eagerly asking, \"Can I read this one first?\" Their excitement and curiosity will set a positive tone for the entire school year.\r\n\r\nAs we begin our fourth-grade journey together, we'll be building strong reading habits, growing as writers, and strengthening our math skills. The mice, stylus pens, and headphones gave my students tools that helped them feel more confident, independent, and successful during learning activities and state testing.\r\n\r\nThe mice were especially helpful during state testing because many students struggle using the Chromebook trackpads. With the mice, students were able to navigate questions more easily, scroll smoothly, and focus on the test instead of becoming frustrated with the technology. I noticed students working more independently and feeling much more comfortable during testing.\r\n\r\nThe stylus pens have also been exciting for students because they make working on touchscreen Chromebooks easier and more engaging. Students enjoy using them for writing, drawing, highlighting, and completing assignments with more precision. Many students who are usually hesitant with writing or technology became more motivated and eager to participate when using the stylus pens.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have been another huge support in our classroom. They help students stay focused during independent learning programs like i-Ready and allow students to work without distractions. Some of my students become overwhelmed by classroom noise, so having headphones has helped them concentrate better and feel calmer while learning.\r\n\r\nOne of the best parts of this project has been seeing students who typically struggle with focus or technology become more confident and independent. These tools may seem simple, but they truly helped remove barriers for my students and created a more supportive learning environment. When the boxes arrived and we opened them the cheerleaders were so excited. The Poms gave them that extra confidence as they cheered and lead their school spirit. They performed in front of the whole school community on April 29th and used the Poms. So many cheerleaders tried something new by joining the team and they are making friendships that will last them for a long time while also gaining confidence and building up spirit for the whole school community.
