Because of you, my 1st Graders now have small cookie trays for phonics works, magnetic tiles and blocks, and engaging materials for brain breaks. The cookie trays have transformed our phonics time! The students use them daily to build words, tap out sands, and manipulate magnetic letters. The magnetic tiles and building blocks and games have become powerful tools during brain breaks, allowing students to build, create, and reset their minds. All while still developing fine motor skills, problem solving, and teamwork.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their excitement was contagious. Big smiles, cheers, and wide eyes. The immediately asked to start using everything! It was heartwarming to have them listen so intently to the rules and instructions of how to use their new materials. They knew and valued the thought of someone caring enough about them to support their learning.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using the trays daily for phonics, and those magnetic tiles and blocks will remain part of our structured brain breaks and collaborative centers. These materials mean a lot to them.
