My students were thrilled when they saw the new rug, cushions, and desks. They immediately commented on how cozy and welcoming everything felt. Since then, the space has become a daily part of our routine. We use it for independent reading, partner projects, community meetings, and choice time. It has truly become the heart of our classroom.\r\n\r\nRecently, the students used the space to read A Long Walk to Water, work on their Native American dioramas, and build coordinate grid cities for math. They love the comfy cushions and being able to choose where and how they work. It's made a big difference in how engaged and focused they are.\r\n\r\nThis reading nook will continue to be used for years to come. Next school year, I'll be teaching a 4th and 5th-grade split class. I'm excited to see how the space brings those two groups together and supports all the new projects we'll take on.
