Without visual aids and models, the almost incomprehensible distances and the relationship between objects within our solar system and beyond are challenging for students to make sense of. In the past, I have relied on pictures and videos to communicate these concepts visually.\r\n\r\nThe amazing interactive models that your generous donation has made possible are bringing these concepts to life for my students. Watching a video is nowhere near as effective as manipulating a model to illustrate astronomical concepts such as rotation vs revolution, time zones, seasons, and the relative locations of planets in our solar system.\r\n\r\nAstronomy is such a fascinating subject and my goal is to ignite enthusiasm through active engagement.
