As my students get younger, it has become increasingly important to help them easily define different spaces in our classroom. \r\n\r\nThe room divider has helped make our calming corner more relaxing for students as they have a degree of privacy while they manage their big feelings and take space to feel better. The rectangle table has been a perfect standing table at our sensory center while students do the hard work of digging, scooping, building, and playing with various materials. The magnetic board works both as a space divider and a magnetic surface for various activities like story retellings, number and letter play, and magnet play. \r\n\r\nOnce we were able to get the items built and incorporated into our classroom, students were so excited to put them immediately to use! The rectangle table will very soon house our St. Patrick's day sensory bin - a large tray that multiple students can access at the same time and the magnet wall is about to be used to start finding letters to build friends' names.
