Seeing the hollow blocks, construction uniforms, and new books sparked so much curiosity. They could not wait to explore everything. As soon as the uniforms came out, many of them put them on right away and stepped into their roles as builders, proudly taking on their work.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the hollow blocks during our building time, and they have completely transformed how students play and learn. They are building structures like houses, towers, and even spaces they call \"job sites.\" One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students work together to build a large structure, talking through their ideas, figuring out how to balance the blocks, and encouraging each other when something fell and they had to try again.\r\n\r\nWhat has been especially meaningful is that these materials have continued to be a favorite even beyond our building unit. Students still choose the hollow blocks during playtime, returning to them again and again to create new ideas and revisit their learning. It has become one of the most loved and consistently used areas in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe books have also been a meaningful part of our learning. Students are making connections between what they see in the books and what they are building, using new vocabulary and sharing their ideas more confidently. The combination of the materials has created a rich, hands-on learning experience where imagination, language, and collaboration all come together.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we are continuing to build on this by introducing more intentional design challenges, like creating structures with specific purposes or working together to plan shared spaces. Students are becoming more thoughtful in their planning and more confident in expressing their ideas.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible. Your support has truly made a difference in our classroom, and I am so grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1769178099661,"projectUrl":"project/little-builders-designing-creating-an/9860086/","projectTitle":"Little Builders: Designing, Creating, and Imagining Together","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Houston","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6629931_orig.jpg?crop=2320,2320,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761525583579","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6629931"},{"teacherId":10037092,"projectId":9360519,"letterContent":"The impact of your generous donations cannot be put simply into words.
