We have had two club meetings thus far and my students show so much talent and promise. Our first nail art day, I taught them how to paint butterfly wings using magnets and cat eye gels to create a magnetic effect. And just yesterday they learned how to seamlessly blend two colors together to create an ombre effect. They then painted tiger stripes, thus giving us some really fun \"Lisa Frank\" style nails. \r\n\r\nMy students have been so excited and happy to not only have a nail club, but to know they have access to supplies that many didn't know existed or they simply don't have access to at home. Our school is a Title 1 school and many of our students live at or below the poverty line. The supplies donated through your generosity allows students from all walks of life an opportunity to practice and learn the craft of nail art. \r\n\r\nMy goal in the future is to work with the local nail art supply owner to work with us and teach us more techniques that I may not be able to. The shop owner, Erika, was actually once a student at my school a number of years ago, so this place does hold a special place for her. She has expressed that entering the cosmetic industry and doing nails helped her find her path in life, and also guided her into becoming a small business owner. This club has ultimately benefitted not just our students, but also promotes the support of our local shop, and giving students the opportunity to connect with someone who was once a student at Cope herself, but to show how nail art can lead to a positive career path. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your generous donations. My students and I will be forever grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1769177650803,"projectUrl":"project/club-eagle-claw-pt2/10024304/","projectTitle":"Club Eagle Claw pt.2","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10404546"},{"teacherId":10298768,"projectId":9787555,"letterContent":"I would like to take a moment to extend a huge thank you for your generosity and donation of books. Our students were so excited to receive them, as they had been asking for new books for quite some time.\r\n\r\nAs many may know, funding for after-school programs is limited, and your support has allowed us to enrich our program in multiple ways. Since receiving the books, I have seen students eagerly select them, show increased interest in reading, and spend more time engaged with the materials. This has greatly supported their reading comprehension, vocabulary expansion, and overall love of reading.\r\n\r\nThe new books have also been a helpful resource for homework, giving students quality options when they need to complete reading assignments. We are thrilled with the impact the books have had on our students and the program, helping us continue to engage and inspire them in the after-school environment.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity.
