As hatch day approached, students eagerly counted down the days, checking the incubator each morning and wondering if it would be \"the day.\" This hands-on experience allowed students to learn about the life cycle of a chicken in a way that was real and engaging. With the materials generously provided by donors, students were able to observe the development process and eventually witness the incredible moment when the chicks began to hatch.\r\n\r\nThe excitement continued after hatch day as the brooder allowed us to care for the chicks in the classroom. Students learned about the basic needs of animals food, water, warmth, and gentle care while developing empathy and responsibility for living things.
