These new texts have introduced students to a variety of skills and lessons—from analyzing themes and characters to exploring different perspectives and improving critical thinking. Students are not just reading the words on the page; they're learning to discuss, question, and connect ideas in ways that deepen their understanding of literature and the world around them.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom has become more interactive and accessible than ever. With the new chargers, students can keep their devices ready for research, digital annotations, and online reading platforms, ensuring that no one falls behind due to technical limitations. Students who previously struggled to stay engaged are now finding joy in reading, often discussing their favorite parts with peers or making connections to their own experiences. For some students, these books have sparked a new love of reading, giving them confidence and pride in their academic growth.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly transformed our classroom environment—making reading more accessible, meaningful, and fun for every student.","fullyFundedDate":1755699862501,"projectUrl":"project/lets-read/9600667/","projectTitle":"Let's Read!","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Theresa Gonzales","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5514812_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1531158671286","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5514812"},{"teacherId":10058542,"projectId":9420414,"letterContent":"The tables and chairs were a big hit for our students!! We were assigned a different room that was larger than our first room and they fit even better in the new room! As soon as we put them in place, the students gravitated towards them! We had hoped that the students would use the area with the tables to eat and chat or sit alone and just get restored before going to class. It was definitely that for our students!! It was really awesome to especially see our neurodivergent students not feel isolated in a new cool space that would not make them feel any different than the other students.\r\n\r\nThe pillow covers are so encouraging! The students have thoroughly enjoyed being reminded of the inspirational sayings on the pillows. We are still putting the room together but it was awesome to include the students in putting the tables together. They truly felt a sense of ownership for their Restoration Place!! Looking forward to adding the light covers and the punching bag! These medals mean so much more than a simple piece of recognition—they symbolize years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Because of your kindness, my students will not only walk across the graduation stage with pride but also carry a lasting reminder of what they accomplished through service, scholarship, leadership, and character.\r\n\r\nWhen the medals first arrived, my students' eyes lit up with excitement. Many of them picked them up carefully, examining the detail, and immediately started talking about how proud their families would be when they saw them. Several students put them on right away, adjusting them around their necks with the biggest smiles. In that moment, I could see how powerful tangible recognition can be. For some of my students, this medal will be the first physical symbol of their academic achievements, and it is something they can hold onto as motivation for their next steps in education and life.","fullyFundedDate":1742959807039,"projectUrl":"project/help-with-medals-for-graduation-for-high/9131198/","projectTitle":"Help With Medals for Graduation for High School Students","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Theresa Gonzales","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5514812_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1531158671286","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5514812"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_32681","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2106,"numTeachers":90,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":90,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"23.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":32681,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Perris High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Perris High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/perris-union-high-school-district/perris-high-school/32681"}
