Because of your donations, our students now have access to laptops, portable power banks, extension cords, and Bluetooth speakers that have transformed the way they learn every day. These resources have helped create a more engaging, organized, and technology-rich learning environment where students feel excited and motivated to participate. Your donations have truly made a meaningful difference in our classroom community.\r\n\r\nThe laptops have become one of the most valuable learning tools for our students. They are now able to complete research projects, collaborate on assignments, practice math and science skills through interactive programs, and create presentations that allow them to express their understanding in creative ways. Having reliable technology available in the classroom has increased student independence and confidence. Students who once struggled to stay engaged are now more focused and eager to participate because learning feels interactive and accessible. The portable power banks and extension cords have also been incredibly helpful by ensuring that devices remain charged and ready throughout the school day, especially during group projects and classroom stations.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting additions for students has been the portable Bluetooth speakers. These speakers have brought lessons to life by allowing us to incorporate educational videos, science demonstrations, music, and interactive activities into our instruction. Students especially enjoy collaborative review games and multimedia presentations because the sound is clear and accessible to everyone in the classroom. The technology has created a more energetic and inclusive learning atmosphere where students are excited to contribute, discuss ideas, and work together.\r\n\r\nYour support has provided our students with opportunities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. More importantly, it has shown them that there are people who believe in their success and care deeply about their education. In this unit, students are reimagining Greek gods and goddesses as if they existed in today's world. They began by studying traditional mythological traits, then translating those qualities into modern symbols, fashion, tools, and environments. Using the clay, students are building three-dimensional figures that reflect both ancient mythology and present-day identity—like Zeus as a tech CEO, Athena as a community activist, or Poseidon as a climate scientist. The materials have made it possible for students to push their creativity further, especially in how they think about symbolism and representation in design.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the clay and project materials, there was immediate excitement and curiosity. They quickly began debating how each god or goddess might \"show up\" in the modern world, and those conversations became some of the richest academic discussions we've had all year. Students who are usually quieter were especially engaged when they realized there was no single \"correct\" interpretation—only thoughtful justification of their creative choices. It shifted the classroom dynamic toward exploration, storytelling, and shared meaning-making.\r\n\r\nNext, students will finalize their sculptures and create accompanying artist statements that explain both the original mythological traits and their modern interpretations. We will then host a gallery walk where students present their work as \"modern myth exhibits,\" answering questions from peers and defending their design choices using evidence from both research and creative reasoning. This final stage will help students synthesize their understanding of mythology, character development, and symbolic representation in a way that feels personal, relevant, and deeply engaging.","fullyFundedDate":1771782924715,"projectUrl":"project/eam-strong-going-back-in-time/10102098/","projectTitle":"#EAM Strong-Going Back in Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Ta","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10170774"},{"teacherId":9893932,"projectId":9986692,"letterContent":"We have appreciated all of your donations so much!
