My students all have incredible abilities, in addition to their significant disabilities. Being able to practice life skills with the actual equipment they would use in a job or living situation is invaluable to them. This is why I want to get pegboard and hooks (stocking merchandise) as well as a small refrigerator and microwave (food safety and handling, for career and home). And batteries are always helpful for our many adaptive devices. All of these items will help me give my unique learners valuable, real-world practice and skills. Thank you so much for your support of my wonderful young people!
