In supporting us with this project, students were able to receive a nice warm jacket. Many of the students were not able to afford a nice warm jacket for the cold temperatures. Students are attending school very early in the morning and having a jacket that keeps them warm really helps prepare them for a successful day at school. When students saw all the jackets and coats they were jumping with joy. I asked each student to choose their jacket and they all were able to find their favorite cozy jacket. \r\n\r\nParents and the community were very thankful about the donations. Students walked the hallways with pride wearing the jackets. During recess, students would wear their jackets and they all had smiles on their faces. I really believe that no child should ever be cold inside or outside their classrooms. I was able to teach lessons to students, without worrying if they were cold. This project not only supported the child in learning the academics but also captured their heart by showing them that we care about their well being.
