As soon as they arrived, the students' faces lit up with excitement! They couldn't wait to try out their new comfortable seats and dive into learning. Every student has had the opportunity to use the floor seats and they truly enjoy sitting in them during lessons, seatwork, and group work. These flexible seating options have helped my students stay more focused, collaborate more easily, and feel proud of their classroom space. We recently used the seats during a hands-on project where students worked in small groups. It was wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork, and confidence shine. Next, we'll continue using the floor seats to support small group learning and independent reading time, helping students take ownership of their learning environment.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make our classroom an inspiring place to learn every day!","fullyFundedDate":1755736055133,"projectUrl":"project/comfortable-flexible-seating-for-my-2nd/9535382/","projectTitle":"Comfortable Flexible Seating for My 2nd Graders","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Topor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8981531"},{"teacherId":2544326,"projectId":9079623,"letterContent":"The new garden provides students with a unique opportunity for hands-on, real-life learning by engaging directly with nature, that is both educational and exciting. A large variety of edible plants have been planted, which students can observe throughout the season. In addition to these, students also planted seeds like peas, carrots, and herbs to witness the entire plant life cycle, from seed to harvest.\r\n\r\nTo further enhance their learning experience, the students also planted starts, such as rainbow chard, tomatoes, kale, and spinach to observe root systems before they were placed into the garden beds. This provides an in-depth understanding of the crucial role roots play in the plant's overall health and development. As they tend to the plants, students are also learning about responsibility and patience.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the garden boxes, their faces lit up with joy and excitement, inspiring them to care for the plants throughout the spring season. As the plants mature, the students will observe their progress, track changes, and discuss what is happening at each stage. In the spring, they will have the rewarding experience of harvesting the food they have helped grow, and they will get to try it all. This hands-on learning experience with provide them with long-lasting memories as well.","fullyFundedDate":1737852191518,"projectUrl":"project/give-a-garden/9079623/","projectTitle":"Give a Garden","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Forsyth","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2544326_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1565503891550","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2544326"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_92631","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":416,"numTeachers":17,"percentFrplEligible":20,"percentAsian":12,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":44,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"24.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":91.1,"schoolId":92631,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Panorama Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Panorama Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/orange-unified-school-district/panorama-elementary-school/92631"}
