These supplies may seem small, but they have made a big difference. Snacks mean students can stay focused instead of distracted by hunger. I can't tell you how many studnts - not even from my own classes- stop by when they need a snack. Band-aids and hygiene products allow students to take care of themselves quickly and return right back to their work. Kleenex keeps things moving (especailly with lots of colds going around!) without sending students to the bathroom. And the chair leg protectors have truly transformed our space. The room is noticeably quieter, which has made studio time more calm and productive.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, students were genuinely excited and grateful. Some students immediately noticed the difference in the noise level and commented on how much easier it was to concentrate. During a recent project in our \"Inspired By\" unit, where students create original artwork influenced by an artist they researched, I saw more sustained focus and deeper engagement. Students were able to take creative risks, revise their work, and participate more fully because their basic needs were met.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, we can build a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. As we hurtle towards summer, students are developing their final pieces and artist statements, and preparing to share their work through our Spring Art Show. Your support has helped make our classroom a space where creativity can truly thrive, and I am so grateful for that.
