These selected books are meant to help students develop a greater love for reading. Students who currently don't see any connection between themselves and a book might love Illegal, or Crossover, graphic novels with a powerful narrative. For other students that have started to find a joy for reading can develop it further, diving into the Percy Jackson series. The goal is so each student can find a book that is at their reading level and piques their interest. Developing a love for reading can be a powerful way to learn about yourself, society, and others around you. Middle school is a crucial time to help develop this ability. The money for this project will directly fund books for my classroom library, and into the hands of a yearning learner!
