The Learning Center is a place where students receive specialized services, individualized support, and dedicated time to complete their work. Having reliable, up-to-date devices ensures they can fully participate in digital lessons, access educational resources, build essential technology skills, and complete assignments with confidence.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is more than a gift of equipment, it is an investment in opportunity, independence, and equity for our students. You have helped create an environment where every learner has the tools they need to reach their potential.\r\n\r\nWe are truly grateful for your support and for believing in our students. Students are also using their white boards to engage in classroom discussions, and take class polls. In our current unit of climate change students had the opportunity to create models of the carbon cycle using their white boards. The use of white boards allowed for students to collaborate in groups and share with the rest of their class their creations.\r\n\r\nMy students were extremely excited and grateful to have received brand new binders and binder tabs to organize their work. Due to the use of binders now they have an organized system to mantain their work and their class performance has improved tremendously. \r\n\r\nAs mentioned above students are currently investigating human impacts on climate change and thinking about possible solutions to reduce global warming. For our class project they will create a presentation in which they will engage in arguments supported by evidence to convince elected officials to create laws that will stop carbon emissions and therefore reduce the impact of climate change.","fullyFundedDate":1761849600901,"projectUrl":"project/organized-minds-confident-learners/9852312/","projectTitle":"Organized Minds, Confident Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10326704"},{"teacherId":8827043,"projectId":9675481,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my students are now working with professional, artist-quality materials that honor their creativity and effort. We've been using the new blendable/ layerable markers with our drawing projects. Students really enjoy using them, and always ask to use them if they are not out. \r\nOne standout moment was watching students layer colors and experiment with blending techniques. This is something that was nearly impossible before with dried-out supplies and cheap markers. These resources have allowed students to focus less on making materials \"work\" and more on developing their ideas and technical skills. \r\nWhen students first saw the new materials, they were genuinely excited. Many immediately noticed how smooth the markers were and how much easier it was to create the effects they imagined. The markers have also been a hit for students who are working to develop their fine motor skills. The brush tip allows them to practice manipulation and control in a different way than colored pencils or chisel tip markers. The addition of softer lighting and flexible seating has helped create a calmer, more focused classroom environment, and allows students to stay engaged and comfortable during class.\r\nThese resources ensure equitable access to a supportive and inspiring learning environment where all students can succeed. This donation has been huge because it let my student government transition skills and technology into real-world skills. Instead of just looking at screens, the students are participating in a full production house with teams for screenwriting, editing, and post-production. It's helping them learn because they aren't just observers anymore. They are gaining actual technical experience that shows them how a professional project actually comes together.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting thing for the students is definitely the way they can now capture amazing moments of their peers doing great work. They're taking these pictures and videos and incorporating them directly into our student-led newspaper and the monthly events where we celebrate all the different types of populations at our school. Seeing their work used to celebrate the school community has highly improved our school spirit. It gives them a real sense of pride to see their footage being the thing that brings everyone together.\r\n\r\nI've also noticed that certain students have especially warmed to this new technology by stepping out of their comfort zones. I'm seeing kids who might have been quiet before really take charge of the equipment and engage with others in ways they didn't before. It has created a lot of student accountability for their own learning. They're more engaged and they're taking responsibility for the final product, which has really changed the energy in the room. This equipment didn't just give us better videos, it gave these students a way to grow.","fullyFundedDate":1759776168919,"projectUrl":"project/student-government-association-memorab/9633922/","projectTitle":"Student Government Association - Memorable Years","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Valeri","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10053865"},{"teacherId":9026124,"projectId":9301441,"letterContent":"I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous donation towards my MacBook Pro in May 2025. This technology has already had a transformative impact on my ability to support students, families, and the larger school community.\r\n\r\nWith this resource, I was able to:\r\n-Design multilingual flyers highlighting critical resources for middle and high school students, focusing on mental and emotional health.\r\n\r\n-Create parent community resource documents for our Back-to-School night, ensuring families had accessible information to support their children's well-being.\r\n\r\n-Develop counseling lessons centered on stress management, self-regulation, and confidence-building—tools that students are already beginning to put into practice in their daily lives.\r\n\r\nThese initiatives would not have been possible without your generosity. Your support not only provided essential technology but also empowered me to deliver meaningful programs that directly impact student mental wellness, resilience, and success.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students, their families, and our school community, thank you for believing in this work and helping me to create a stronger, healthier learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1746786140328,"projectUrl":"project/tech-for-mental-wellness/9301441/","projectTitle":"Tech for Mental Wellness","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lewis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9026124_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y160&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723010117760","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-lewis-lwp"},{"teacherId":9348613,"projectId":9197017,"letterContent":"Thank you again for making this project a reality! Both students and teachers expressed joy and appreciation for the space. Student's came running to join in. \r\n\r\nWhile the project was simple it has a lasting impact.
