So far the biggest impact that has been felt is by far having enough lab stools for every student to fit comfortably at lab tables to do hands on investigations at the elementary level. I had two classes where I had to pull up a regular desk chair or two to the lab tables instead of the stools and the students who had to sit there felt left out or would often stand instead of sitting at their chair. Now everyone has the space to confidently explore science for the hour they visit my room. It has been moving to experience and I'm excited to share photos with everyone the next time the largest class visits my room.\r\n\r\nThe new mobile whiteboard has also been in action and helped me quickly refer students to the questions we are exploring in each unit and investigation without having to backtrack slides. It helps keep the upper grade students focused on why we are doing things like weighing solutions before and after mixing salt in water which serves their ability to collect data and interpret it. The flipside of the board has also made it easier to brainstorm ideas on the fly as the main whiteboard in the room is on the opposite side of the lab tables and the slides are too important to pull up and down during a lesson.\r\n\r\nThe impact of the air conditioning unit has not been felt yet, but it will be as soon as March, April, and May arrive. As soon as sunlight starts streaming in through the major windows of the room, our upstairs lab gets very hot and sweaty. I am so excited to be able to cool things down so they can finish out the school year strong.\r\n\r\nAgain, I I just want to say thank you so much. It feels amazing to be able to fully move about the classroom and engage students in a way that makes a difference as they become more curious about the world around them.","fullyFundedDate":1763569473551,"projectUrl":"project/k-5-science-help-keep-elementary-stude/9564239/","projectTitle":"K-5 Science - Help Keep Elementary Students Cool!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Engle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10161613"},{"teacherId":3852834,"projectId":9113500,"letterContent":"I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your generous donations have made such a tremendous impact on our classroom, our learning, and our independence. It's so beautiful to see the students take ownership of their learning, especially this early in the year.\r\n\r\nWith these wonderful bins, that are easy to label and see inside of, the students are able to choose their own math tools each day. I've been able to slowly introduce the tools and we've been learning how to use them safely and productively. It really culminated in our project today where students had the first opportunity to pick their own tool to build their number stairs as we learn how to count the \"1 more\" way.\r\n\r\nIt also has made our room organized, colorful, and clean which just adds to the joy! :)","fullyFundedDate":1742928800390,"projectUrl":"project/math-marvels-need-manipulatives/9113500/","projectTitle":"Math Marvels Need Manipulatives","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Fuhr","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3852834_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1502393011483","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3852834"},{"teacherId":10032129,"projectId":9364516,"letterContent":"We are so grateful for your generosity in helping our classroom!
