Although the display screen arrived just after our annual art show, it is already making a positive impact on our students and will be an important part of future art exhibitions for years to come.\r\n\r\nThe screen allows students to view digital artwork, animations, and multimedia projects in a way that simply isn't possible with traditional printed displays. Students can see their work presented professionally on a large screen, helping them take pride in their creativity and encouraging them to put forth their best effort. It also gives them the opportunity to experience artwork created by students from other classes, exposing them to new ideas, techniques, and artistic styles.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects for students has been seeing their digital artwork and animations come to life on a large display. Many students spend hours creating digital projects, and seeing them showcased in a public format makes them feel recognized and valued as artists.\r\n\r\nThe display has been especially meaningful for students who enjoy digital art and animation. These students are often eager to share their work with others, and the screen provides a platform where their creativity can be celebrated alongside more traditional forms of art. We are excited to incorporate this technology into future art shows and classroom displays, allowing even more students to showcase their talents.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us create new opportunities for our young artists to share their voices and creativity with our school community.","fullyFundedDate":1769118403235,"projectUrl":"project/middle-school-digital-art-show/9779507/","projectTitle":"Middle School Digital Art Show","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Juhasz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2248099_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1512026985769","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/broadwayhighschool"},{"teacherId":2248099,"projectId":9213240,"letterContent":"Our printmaking class is ecstatic to have a printing press to print our work for class. Students did a project in class, where they had to carve an image that represents one of the Bill of Rights - Called the \"Bill of Rights Trading Cards\". They printed these on card stock, and made one print for every person in the class. Students had fun experimenting with different images, and figuring out the best ways to make their blocks visible and readable. \r\nThe impact of this project will carry on for many years, as students explore different ways to express themselves through symbols, images and different designs. They love using carving tools and ink to bring their designs to life.\r\nStudents enjoy sharing their work with others and get a chance to compare their work with other people's ideas. Students are also required to reflect on their process and write an artist statement in response to their work. They must indicate what challenges they ran into and what successes they had in bringing their ideas to fruition. \r\nWe are eternally grateful for your generous donations and will continue to build our art program to include the dynamic abilities of our middle school students.","fullyFundedDate":1743347526093,"projectUrl":"project/printing-press-for-our-printmaking-stude/9213240/","projectTitle":"Printing Press for our Printmaking Students!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Juhasz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2248099_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1512026985769","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/broadwayhighschool"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4882","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":688,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":39,"percentAsian":28,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":15,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":44,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":1,"percentMultiracialImputed":7,"gradesServed":"7 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"21.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":92.6,"schoolId":4882,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bernal Intermediate School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bernal Intermediate School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/oak-grove-school-district/bernal-intermediate-school/4882"}
