Your generosity has brought our vision to life and given my middle school students the chance to explore gravity, planetary motion, eclipses, seasons, and moon phases in meaningful, hands-on ways.\r\n\r\nThe excitement when the materials arrived was unforgettable. \r\n\r\nSince receiving your support, we've already begun to plan our interactive workshops and experiments. Students will our new planetary models to recreate both lunar and solar eclipses, experimenting with light sources and angles to understand how shadow and alignment shape what we see from Earth. In another activity, students manipulated orbital paths to see how gravity affects planetary motion—something that sparked a lively discussion about why seasons differ across hemispheres.\r\n\r\nThese resources have transformed abstract concepts into tangible, memorable experiences. Students who once struggled to imagine planetary mechanics are now confidently explaining orbital patterns, demonstrating phases of the moon, and asking deeper questions about how gravity shapes the universe.\r\n\r\nYour support has done more than fund materials—it has opened doors to curiosity, exploration, and genuine scientific discovery. You have helped spark a passion for astronomy that I know will stay with these students for years to come.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our classroom and investing in the future of young scientists and explorers.","fullyFundedDate":1746734908101,"projectUrl":"project/space-to-boldy-go-where-weve-never-gone/9044787/","projectTitle":"Space to Boldy Go Where We've Never Gone Before","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Richards","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8441505_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666824249563","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8441505"},{"teacherId":6574369,"projectId":9518184,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of books to our middle school classroom library. The hands-on nature of the equipment immediately grabbed their attention. Many of them were eager to start experimenting, pushing the dynamic carts along the track and observing how the Newton springs stretched and contracted with different forces. It sparked a lot of questions and even some friendly competition to see who could get the most precise measurements. Overall, the tangible experience helped bridge the gap between theory and real-world application, making the concepts of force, motion, and elasticity much more engaging and understandable.","fullyFundedDate":1735654755714,"projectUrl":"project/what-goes-up-must-come-down/8873973/","projectTitle":"What Goes Up, Must Come Down","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Richards","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8441505_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666824249563","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8441505"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4312","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":752,"numTeachers":36,"percentFrplEligible":26,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":50,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":33,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"20.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":90.3,"schoolId":4312,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sinaloa Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sinaloa Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/novato-unified-school-district/sinaloa-middle-school/4312"}
