This mural will be completed this school year, and each classroom has made a design that will contribute to the mural. I would love to describe the impact that this project will have on the students at my school.\r\n \r\nHow are you and your students using the new resources? \r\n-Once the designs are completed by each classroom, a staff member will draw the design on the wall of the school. Next, classrooms will have scheduled time in the day to come out and begin painting their part of the mural. There will be a lot of parent involvement as well!\r\n\r\nHow did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\n-When I gave the presentation to each class, I explained the mural and showed them all the supplies they would get to use while helping create the mural. They were very excited and eager to participate. Not only do they get to design it, but they also get to paint it!\r\n\r\nWhat are the next steps for your students on a current classroom lesson or project?\r\n-Now that all the designs are complete, the next steps are for the staff member to project the outline and paint the design on the wall. Next, a painting rotation will be created with younger students coming to paint the bottom of the mural, and older students painting the middle of the mural. Adults will paint the top of the mural since a ladder will be needed. Once the mural is complete, it will be sealed with a lacquer that will protect it. Finally there will be a \"ribbon-cutting\" ceremony where families and community members will come to see the finished mural!","fullyFundedDate":1767234573449,"projectUrl":"project/art-students-paint-keith-haring-inspired/9944380/","projectTitle":"Art Students Paint Keith Haring-Inspired Mural","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Veveiros","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1648333_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1454787254820","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jenniferveveiros"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4360","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":470,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":62,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":40,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":50,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":6,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"36.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":87.1,"schoolId":4360,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Willow Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Willow Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/napa-valley-unified-school-district/el-centro-elementary-school/4360"}
