Your generosity means so much to me and, most importantly, to my students.\r\n\r\nWe returned back to school at the beginning of August. Muggie Maggie by Beverly Cleary is the perfect start to our year. This book is about a third grade student who doesn't want to learn cursive writing, because why? There are other ways to write, including using a computer. Of course, she learns that possibly, learning cursive writing is a good skill to have. \r\n\r\nHaving engaging chapter books like Muggie Maggie gives my students the opportunity to strengthen their reading skills while discovering the joy of getting lost in a good story. This book encourages my students to read more independently, builds their vocabulary, develops comprehension skills, and makes meaningful connections with the characters and their experiences. And hopefully get them excited to learn cursive!\r\n\r\nI love watching my third graders become excited about books and seeing their confidence grow as readers. Your donation helps make those moments possible.
