Students use them to increase their fluency and comprehension. We have also used them to explore music on CDs. It is amazing how this old technology captures their attention!\r\n\r\nI try to use technology that is not as overwhelming for my students. Computers, iPad, tablets, and laptops absorb all of their sensory systems and capacity to focus. So while I could find a way for them to access the fluency passages and text-to-speech functions on the computer, it is better for them to use non-screen-based tools as much as possible.
