These flexible seating options have helped tremendously in our classroom — students are more focused, comfortable, and engaged during lessons. The stools and bands give them the perfect way to move while they learn, and they absolutely love using them. The excitement in our room is contagious! As soon as the printer arrived, students couldn't wait to start creating. \r\n\r\nThis incredible piece of technology has opened up a whole new world of learning and creativity for our elementary students. Many of our students are familiar with technology like tablets and gaming consoles; however, using a 3D printer in the classroom has shown them how digital design can become real, tangible objects—sparking curiosity and a deeper understanding of engineering, problem-solving, and design thinking.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping transform our Lab into a makerspace where every student, regardless of background or ability, can see themselves as inventors, creators, and future engineers.","fullyFundedDate":1757519736977,"projectUrl":"project/from-ideas-to-reality-3d-printing-for-y/9688956/","projectTitle":"From Ideas to Reality: 3D Printing for Young Creators","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lipkin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10218128"},{"teacherId":10068666,"projectId":9458262,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible contribution to our classroom library! Because of you, our room is now filled with high-interest, culturally relevant books that are making a real difference in the lives of my students.\r\n\r\nEven though our shelves were fully stocked on the first day of school, the books have been flying off them ever since—checked out daily by eager and excited readers! It's been so inspiring to watch my students actively engaging with literature, often asking to read more during the day and at home.\r\n\r\nHaving such a wide variety of engaging, diverse books right at their fingertips has truly transformed their reading experience. In fact, for the first time in my teaching career, students asked me to raise their trimester reading goals—four times last week! That kind of enthusiasm for reading is a dream come true for any teacher, and it's happening because of your generosity.\r\n\r\nEarlier this week, one of my more reluctant readers was struggling to find a book that grabbed his interest. I suggested The Crossover series, knowing it was both culturally relevant to him and centered around his love of sports. The next day, he walked into class with a huge smile—already two-thirds of the way through the book! When I asked how he was enjoying it, he said, \"I love it,\" and shared how excited he was to read the rest of the series. Moments like that are priceless.\r\n\r\nAnother huge hit has been the Ranger's Apprentice series. About a fourth of my students are currently making their way through it—and loving every page. Historically, this series was a bit advanced for many of my 5th graders, but now that the buzz has spread about how great it is, they're challenging themselves to read it—and succeeding! That's the magic of a well-stocked, student-centered library: kids are choosing to stretch themselves because they're motivated.\r\n\r\nSeries like A Series of Unfortunate Events, Harry Potter, Story Thieves, Percy Jackson, and all the wonderful, culturally relevant books from the Rick Riordan Presents collection are also huge favorites. These stories are sparking imaginations, building confidence, and turning even the most hesitant readers into book lovers.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your support has had a profound impact on my students' learning and love for reading. You've helped make our classroom a place where stories come alive and every student feels seen, valued, and inspired.","fullyFundedDate":1752859819339,"projectUrl":"project/a-culturally-diverse-engaging-classroo/9458262/","projectTitle":"A Culturally Diverse & Engaging Classroom Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Anthon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10068666_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752033500511","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10068666"},{"teacherId":10068666,"projectId":9442297,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in funding flexible seating for my 5th-grade classroom. Your support has made a truly meaningful difference, and I'm so excited to share the impact it's already having on my students!\r\n\r\nOver the past month, I've seen a powerful shift in student engagement and focus. The large, soft rug has quickly become a favorite space—whether students are stretching out to read, write, research, or problem-solve, it offers them the comfort and freedom to learn in the way that works best for them. It's also brought us together as a class—we now gather on the rug to reflect, share, and discuss important topics. It has truly transformed our classroom into a more connected and collaborative learning space.\r\n\r\nThe addition of the C-Rockers, Surf Lap Desks, cushions, and chair bands has made it possible for students to listen to their bodies and choose the seating that supports their individual learning needs. Whether they're gently rocking with a book in hand or sitting cross-legged with their laptop, they're fully engaged—and they're thriving!\r\n\r\nAt any moment, I hear the quiet bounce of chair bands as students move their legs as they focus, or see the smiles as they settle into Bubble Seats that help them stay centered and ready to learn. These small movements make a big difference, and it warms my heart to witness the joy and excitement that comes from being in a space that honors how each child learns best.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness, support, and belief in the power of flexible learning environments. You've helped create a classroom that is not only more comfortable, but also more inclusive, responsive, and joyful.","fullyFundedDate":1752186413723,"projectUrl":"project/sit-stand-move-learn-flexible-seatin/9442297/","projectTitle":"Sit, Stand, Move, Learn: Flexible Seating for 5th Grade Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Anthon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10068666_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752033500511","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10068666"},{"teacherId":3530889,"projectId":9119458,"letterContent":"Thank you again for your generous contribution to our class STEM bins. We want all students involved and thinking creatively with their classmates.\r\n\r\nThe children were SO excited when they saw all of the new materials! They especially gravitated towards the Brain Flakes, Legos, and magnetic blocks. We use these materials at least once a week, usually on Fridays.
