Our living history musical was a huge success! Two weeks ago, our students transformed our classroom into a California Gold Rush-era boomtown. They got in costume, made shop signs, created props and got in character. Outside, they created a mining camp, with a large tent and panning for gold. We invited all of the fourth grade parents, as well as kinder, second, third and fifth graders. We had about 400 people come! Every five minutes or so, they broke into song, which was a surprise to most visitors.
