The wonderful, comfy chairs are providing a safe refuge for students to come for social-emotional breaks and counseling. \r\nMy students were so excited when they came into the Counseling room and saw all the new chairs set up. They quickly settled in and often come by even during lunch and breaks to unwind. The chair set up allows us to have group sessions which is part of the program.\r\nHaving a room to be able to take social emotional breaks in is vital to my students mental health and gives them the needed space to re-group before re-entering the classroom. For some of my students this room is a safe haven a place where they can learn ways to cope with anxiety and other social emotional issues. Having a safe comfortable space allows them to relax and be able to do the needed work to be successful when they return back to the classroom. \r\nWe are all looking forward to starting our paper making projects outside when the weather starts to warm up! We've begun to gather some flowers and Iris leaves to use in the paper making project.
