All the materials have been in regular use for two years now. \r\n\r\nLearning math has been a much more engaging, hands-on experience for my kindergarteners thanks to the materials provided in this project. Our school adopted a new math curriculum last year and, while learning a new program has been difficult, the math tools I received through this project have seamlessly tied our old curriculum with our new one. The NumberBots in particular have been a big hit with the kids during independent math work time. Our new curriculum calls for math rotation time and the timers I received have really come in handy to help students keep track of their own time to work on tasks. We also do a lot of whole-group work within our new math program and the dry-erase math boards I received have come in handy daily with those tasks. The Lego set that was funded was a huge hit and is the first activity to get chosen each day by students during free choice time. I love seeing their creativity and enthusiasm as they create with the Legos and they are often so eager to show me what they have created. \r\n\r\nThank you again, donors, for so generously supporting such deserving kindergarteners. My students treasure each story and read them over and over again. They are also inspired by Todd's artwork, and I have noticed his influence in my first and second graders' illustrations when they create their own stories.\r\n\r\nThe colorful, whimsical characters and straightforward messages in Todd Parr's books have really resonated with my students. They are now more confident in expressing their own ideas, not just through words but also through illustrations. Some of my young learners, who were initially hesitant to draw, have started to create their own vibrant characters and scenes, channeling the boldness they see in Todd's work. One student even made a picture book of her own, filling it with funny characters and heartwarming messages about friendship, much like the themes she loves in Todd's stories.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous donation, these books are not just a source of enjoyment but also a tool for creativity, self-expression, and growth. Each day, we spend time reading and discussing the books, and they spark meaningful conversations about emotions, kindness, and the importance of accepting others. The students have started to reflect these lessons in their own work, and I've witnessed an increase in empathy, creativity, and collaboration in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe impact extends beyond just reading and drawing. The Todd Parr books have become a gateway for teaching essential literacy skills. My students are beginning to recognize the power of storytelling and how to convey messages through both images and words. It's been amazing to see how the books spark their imagination and build their confidence as emerging readers and writers. Whether they're reading independently, with a partner, or to the class, each student is building the skills they need to succeed—skills that will benefit them far beyond our classroom.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I can't express how much it means to see my students so engaged and excited about learning. Your donation has not only provided valuable resources but also helped foster a love of reading and learning that will stay with my students throughout their academic journey and beyond.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my class, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your support. Your generosity has made a tangible difference in our classroom. Because of you, my students have the opportunity to experience the joy of reading, creating, and imagining in new and exciting ways. You have helped nurture their growth and creativity, and for that, we are incredibly grateful.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible.
