With your contribution, I am creating a sewing club for my students. My hope is to bring back the skill of sewing to the class. I learned to sew as a child in middle school. I want to bring the joy of creating wearable art through sewing for my students. I think it is an art that is being slowly erased from childhood. \r\n\r\nI was able to introduce the club during our Art Gallery at the school as a workshop. The children who participated in the sewing workshop had a chance to learn about the sewing machine and make a simple bag. They were elated to have this hands on experience with the sewing machine to make the bag. One student said, \"I can now put this on my resume.\" Some who did not have a chance to make a bag, were also interested in possibly joining the club next year.
