They leaned in, followed along, and were so proud to take turns reading aloud. Being gathered together in a comfortable, focused space made the lesson feel special and engaging for them.\r\n\r\nWhen the kidney table arrived, my students were so excited—they immediately noticed that we finally had a \"special table\" just for their group time. Unlike the older equipment I had before, which was often slow or unpredictable and eventually died, this laptop launches lessons, shares student work, and helps lead us into difficult conversations about equity and inclusion. With this dependable tool, I was able to expand what was possible in my classroom, including advancing racial justice through education. The laptop has enabled me to show videos about racial justice, deepening the students' understanding of justice and equity. We learned about students' ancestors, and where they came from. We incorporated learning about landmarks from their ancestral lands and watched factual videos. I was then able to take this learning a step forward and using a green screen program, drop students' images in their chosen landmark, allowing them to do research to and present to their peers.\r\n Your generous donation was more than just a piece of equipment- it was a catalyst for learning, empowerment and growth, not only in racial justice but also in our day to day need for reliable technology.","fullyFundedDate":1742944984348,"projectUrl":"project/support-racial-justice-learning-equip/9035551/","projectTitle":"\"Support Racial Justice Learning: Equip a Teacher with a Laptop\"","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kamberian","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5307246"},{"teacherId":691978,"projectId":9290796,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our classroom is now stocked with essential supplies that will significantly enrich our learning environment.
