Well, Ms. Keira, thanks to you and DonorsChoose, the students of Sierra Park in El Sereno, California are elated to Not utter those words. \r\n\r\nThe 3 badminton sets include the net system and 4 racquets. The kids work in teams to build the nets and play without having to spend time waiting on the sidelines. Of course, the kids are novice players, but they sure are having a ball whiffing the birdie, or finally sending the shuttlecock over the net. It's super satisfying, as the kids share out strategies to encourage their peers on how to make good contact with the birdie. Badminton, is definitely a favorite of the class.\r\n\r\nThe students, fretfully, played with 1 volleyball prior to your gracious donation. Your new volleyballs are meant for young children, soft to the touch, so kids are not afraid to break their forearms. The fear is still there, but, surely in time, long rallies are in the near future.\r\n\r\nOur school has a Staff vs. Student softball event at the end of the school year. We literally only had 2 softballs. Now, thanks to you, we have 20 softballs and 15 gloves. We can have practice fielding, while another group has batting practice.
