I am a strong believer in public education. As an educator my personal goal is to touch each one of my students lives. As well as watch them grow into successful members of society! I teach a fifth grade classroom at an urban elementary school. Most of my 5th grade students are first generation English Language Learners coming from a low-income family. The school is located in an economically disadvantaged community although sections of it are populated with middle-class working families. Many of us come from a similar background and for this reason we should feel honored and proud to donate to such a good cause.
