My students were so thrilled when they saw our new tricycle, the step and balance sensory stones, and the play tunnel. They have been very eager to use all of our new materials. The new trike is a great addition to the three trikes that we already had. Now, more students can ride a trike at the same time. It is great to see them pedaling up and down our bike path on the new tricycle. They are getting some great exercise, while having fun.\r\n\r\nThey find the stepping stones challenging, but engaging. I watched as they used trial and error to position the stones in such a way as to be able to make it across them without falling. They are getting very creative with them.\r\n\r\nThe play tunnel is a lot of fun. Students are developing their gross motor skills and coordination as they crawl from one end to the other. \r\n\r\nWe are very grateful for all of these wonderful additions to our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1758840187580,"projectUrl":"project/healthy-bodies-healthy-minds/9745630/","projectTitle":"Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brossy de Dios","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/787470"},{"teacherId":787470,"projectId":9168136,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity! My students were so excited to open the boxes and see all the great things inside. Once we opened the boxes, we sat in a circle and everyone had a chance to hold the weighted plushies and the other soothing resources. Of course everyone loved the play dough. We can always count on play dough to help regulate our nervous system. My students loved rolling it, stretching it, pounding it, cutting it into many small pieces, using cookie cutters with it - and using their imagination while playing. Every time I set out the play dough and accessories, students gravitated toward that activity. It really is amazing how much a little bit of play dough can help calm a distressed child.\r\n\r\nThe weighted butterfly and dog were incredibly effective. One of my students becomes emotionally dysregulated frequently. One day she was crying and very distressed. I took her aside to talk, but she needed a break. I asked if she wanted the weighted butterfly. She sat in a comfortable chair, with the butterfly draped over her shoulders and on her chest. She began to feel calmer very quickly. The butterfly became a great resource for her. In addition to being a weighted toy, the butterfly also has different textures on the front. That student and my other students find the weight and the texture of the butterfly very soothing. \r\n\r\nThank you all for helping me to offer all of these great resources to my students. I know that they all benefited from everything you helped provide.","fullyFundedDate":1742960559655,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-to-soothe-sensitive-preschooler/9168136/","projectTitle":"Supplies to Soothe Sensitive Preschoolers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brossy de Dios","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/787470"},{"teacherId":7840046,"projectId":9052612,"letterContent":"With the new classroom rug in place, we now have a cozy, inviting gathering spot that has quickly become central to many of our routines.\r\n\r\nDuring our reading and discussion unit on our ELA curriculum, the rug served as our main meeting point for group read‑alouds and literature circles.
