I cannot begin to describe how having access to a printer in my classroom has changed the accessibility in my classroom. We have been engaged in card sorts and handouts that have made my students geometry interactive notebooks come alive! Their notebooks are the biggest resource students have in my class and they are able to rely on it during classwork practice and studying for tests. I have seen how having access to printed manipulatives has allowed my students to be confidence of their notebook and math learning.\r\n\r\nMy students have enjoyed having their shapes, coordinate grids, and guided notes printed for them to use during lessons. When students attend tutoring, I am able to print out tests reviews quickly that students can use to better their grade. Further, when students have technology issues when completing their classwork, it has become very easy to print out the practice for them instead of having them complete it online so that it does not impact their learning. Having a printer has allowed for this solution and now none of my students have to worry about not being able to do their classroom due to chromebook issues. \r\n\r\nIn Algebra 2, I have been able to print vibrant tables in color to support my students in their understanding of inequalities. The lesson handouts have also allowed for them to engage in concepts using multiple representations like tables, graphs, and word problems. This makes learning more interactive and allows students to better understand key ideas.\r\n\r\nHaving this project funded has been rewarding because I know that lesson materials will always be readily available for my students. If they are absent having technology issues, or need extra support, this printer is there to support their learning!","fullyFundedDate":1746785989932,"projectUrl":"project/technology-is-funbut-pencil-and-pape/9088858/","projectTitle":"Technology Is Fun...But! Your gift has already made a remarkable impact in our classrooms.\r\n\r\nFor many of our students, complex biological concepts such as membrane structure, transport, and cell communication can feel abstract and difficult to visualize. With the modeling pack, these ideas become tangible. Students can physically build and manipulate the phospholipid bilayer, proteins, and transport channels—transforming what they once saw as textbook diagrams into three-dimensional, interactive models they can hold in their hands.\r\n\r\nThe difference has been profound. Students are asking deeper questions, making connections to real-world biology, and engaging in peer-to-peer discussions with more confidence. What was once a source of confusion has now become an opportunity for discovery and collaboration. For some, this was the first time they truly saw how the structure of a membrane relates to its function—an \"aha\" moment that can spark lasting curiosity in science. We even saw our AP scores double this year as students mae more =\r\n\r\nYour support has given our students more than just a set of tools; it has given them access to active, hands-on learning that builds critical thinking and excitement for the subject. In our geometry class, we have been studying tessellations, a topic that helps students explore the connections between mathematics, art, and the world around them. Thanks to your support, my students were able to go beyond simply learning about tessellations in a textbook — they were able to create their own.\r\n\r\nVisual learning plays such an important role in deepening students' understanding of mathematical ideas. Having the ability to design and print their tessellations made the learning experience both hands-on and memorable. Students had fun discovering how shapes can fit together to form patterns, while also using their creativity to design tessellations that represent who they are.\r\n\r\nThe culmination of this project was building a community wall in our classroom. Each tessellation became a piece of a larger whole, symbolizing how unique individuals come together to form a community.
