The new resources you helped provide have already made a meaningful difference in the way we learn, collaborate, and create.\r\n\r\nOne of the first things we used the new materials for was a group project on environmental science. My students were thrilled to explore hands-on experiments using the new supplies. I'll never forget the look on their faces when they first walked in and saw the new equipment laid out—pure excitement and curiosity! One student even said, \"This feels like a real lab!\"\r\n\r\nIn one recent lesson, we created models of ecosystems, using the new craft and science tools to bring their ideas to life. They took so much pride in their work, and many of them shared that this was the first time they truly felt like scientists.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're diving into a research project where students will explore different environmental issues and propose solutions. With the help of these new resources, they'll be creating visual presentations and interactive models to showcase their findings.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our classroom and investing in these future leaders. When the students first saw the new bean bags, wobble cushions, anxiety strips, and colorful crayons and markers, their eyes lit up with excitement. One student whispered, \"This looks like a little dream space,\" and I couldn't agree more. The calming corner has quickly become a go-to space for students who need a moment to reset, regulate their emotions, or simply find a bit of quiet in a busy day.\r\n\r\nWe've been integrating social-emotional learning into our daily routine, and the calming corner has given us the perfect environment to support those efforts. Students are learning to recognize their emotions and choose strategies—like using anxiety strips or taking a few minutes on a wobble cushion—to help themselves refocus. It's amazing to see them take ownership of their emotions and use the space responsibly. One memorable moment was watching a student, who often struggled with frustration, choose to take a break in the bean bag chair, draw quietly, and return to class ready to learn. That kind of growth is priceless.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, our class will be working on identifying and expressing emotions through a creative journaling project, using the art supplies you helped provide. Students will be creating their own \"Feelings Journals\" to reflect on their emotional growth and build mindfulness habits. Your support has made this all possible—thank you for helping us create a classroom where every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1725033530986,"projectUrl":"project/help-me-create-a-special-space-for-my-st/8671708/","projectTitle":"Help Me Create a Special Space For My Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Williams","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8941356_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y123&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1690565501700","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8941356"},{"teacherId":4362586,"projectId":8769476,"letterContent":"In our classroom, the recent addition of the Eco tank printer, the weighted stuffed animal and the paper trays have transformed the way my students engage with learning. Now my students are enjoying their time playing with the weighted husky. They can now use the paper trays to pick their own supplies. My students tend to stay more on task and enjoy organizing the construction paper on the proper trays. The supplies that were generously donated have help my students foster a love for learning social and emotional goals with the use of the weighted husky stuffed animal. \r\nWhen my students first saw the weighted husky stuffed animal, their reactions were priceless. Eyes widened in excitement, they rushed to play with the stuffed animal and helped organize the paper trays, their voices filled with curiosity as they asked questions. \"Who got this?\" one child exclaimed, while another said, \"I love it!\" Their enthusiasm was infectious, creating an atmosphere of eager anticipation for the fun play ahead.\r\nAs we continue to embarked on our school year, the students will be able to enjoy the wonderful donations. The printer has help me and my students print out their individual classroom schedules, activities and learning resources that have helped provide students to have equal opportunities to succeed. The weighted stuff animal toy has helped regulate their emotions which has helped with their social emotional growth.\r\n\r\nThanks to our generous donors, we now have the resources to inspire curiosity, social emotional learning and creativity in our classroom. Their contributions have not only enriched our current project but will also lay the groundwork for future students that will also benefit from them in the years to come.
