For my students final project, they had to submit a poster summarizing their understanding of topics covered in the last semester. They were elated to use brand new permanent markers to fulfill this activity. \r\nThe elation that my students felt was reflected in their assignments. They were able to hone in their creativity and produce posters that were informative and aesthetically pleasing.\r\nWorking in a lower-income community, students do not always have the materials that they need to complete their tasks, which makes your donation that much more impactful. Every time we have silent reading, a few of them head straight to our flexible seating area, excited to snuggle up with their favorite books. Since adding these comfy options, I've noticed more students eager to participate in silent reading than ever. It's been such a positive shift!\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment was watching a student who previously struggled with reading engagement curl up with a book and stay focused the entire time, just because they felt relaxed and at ease in the new space. It's amazing what a simple change in environment can do.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to expand our flexible seating options so every student can find a cozy spot that suits their learning style. My goal is to create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable, inspired, and excited to learn every day.\r\n\r\nThis transformation wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of our incredible donors.
