Everyone wants to be heard, but for some that is not an option. The ability to verbalize your wants and needs is such a seemingly simple and universal ability that we rarely stop to think about those that cannot do it. These GoTalk boards will be used to give a voice to my students who would otherwise have great difficultly expressing their desires. Imagine if every time you wanted to say something, you have to sort through a pile of flash cards then hold up the correct one and hope your message is understood. These boards will be used by my students to participate in the classroom more easily and facilitate asking for breaks or toileting
